Curator Simon Lamuniere commissioned artist-programmers Joachim Blank and Karl Heinz Jeron to develop one of three projects for the Internet component of Documenta. Under the heading ‘Surfaces & Territories’ is ‘without addresses,’ an online project of a blue street map of a nonexistent city that has no buildings, street names or any other points of reference. Since only a rough map is provided in advance, the online project can only prove to be a productive experience if the visitor is lucky enough to be there when there is something interesting going on. ‘Without addresses’ can be reached via http:/www.documenta.de.
